Work place accidents*

Employers have strict statutory obligations to ensure the safety of their staff, but sometimes these standards are neglected and accidents occur. If risk assessments were carried out and premises are properly monitored, many of these accidents could be avoided.

An employer has a duty to provide you with a safe place to work, protective clothing and manual handling training, to name just a few.

If you have suffered an injury due to the lack of any safety training or equipment then you are entitled to recover compensation and make a claim against your employer.

It is vital that should you suffer an injury at work that you report the injury and/or accident to your supervisor and note same into an accident report book.
